Hey peeps and welcome to a written playthrough of Injustice 2, specifically the Battle Simulator. It’s the simulator that never ends, never ends. It just keeps going and going and going and going…

This is Bane’s advanced battle simulator played on very easy difficulty. He started out at level 3.

Fight 1: Cheetah

Here we are, Brother Eye level of the Bat Cave. Nothing new or exciting.

I was so close to having a perfect match. I was two punches away from taking her down. Then, she activated her super move and hit me. I’m just not destined to have a perfect match, like, ever. I’m amazed I’ve ever had a perfect match in the past. I’m just too sloppy when fighting to be able to pull it off.

The main issue with Bane is that his moves do not connect easily. Obviously, he’s a larger character so he’s not going to move around like the lighter characters. The fight just didn’t flow nicely between hits.

I wasn’t able to use a super move to end the fight.

Fight 2: Black Canary

The fight started at the Trench Nursery before moving to the Command Center in Atlantis.

It’s my girl! I’m starting to notice that I have to fight her a lot in the battle simulator. When this all eventually ends, I’m going to compile some stats on my battles. Common opponents will be one of the stats and I have a feeling she’ll be close to the top. I feel I see her in every simulator or at least every other one. I’m not going to complain because I love her but there are, like, 30-something characters in this game.

I only go off on this tangent because the fight was nothing. Bane does a lot of damage with his simple attacks. Therefore, it was a simple fight. I still wasn’t connecting the attacks but it didn’t matter as long as I won.

No super move to end the fight. Bane leveled up to level 4.

Fight 3: Swamp Thing

This fight started in the Containment Center before moving to the Power Core and then moving back to the Containment Center in Red Sun Prison.

Once again, another easy fight. While I don’t think I ever really figured out Bane’s move pool, his simple attacks are at least beneficial to me. There weren’t any moves that I found would work against me in a fight. No random moves that just had Bane standing there like an idiot, open for attack. I don’t think that I’m good with Bane. He’s just an easier character to use.

There was no super move to end the match.

Fight 4: Black Manta

The fight took place at Joker’s Playground.

There was a challenge attached to use six special moves. I did not complete this challenge because I don’t think I ever figured out what Bane’s combo moves were. Can’t win every challenge.

It was here that I realized that I had no clue what I was doing in regards to fighting. Not that I ever know, but I really had no clue how to use Bane. It’s really good that he does a lot of damage because that makes fighting a little easier for me. Most of the characters could barely get good hits on me, which I’m fine with in the long run. If only I could get one perfect match.

No super move to end the match. I’m sensing a theme here with the super moves.

Fight 5: Raiden

This fight took place in the Fortress of Solitude.

There was a challenge attached to this fight to use six sweep attacks. I did complete this challenge.

What can I say? Nothing really. The fight wasn’t eventful and I was even fighting a lightning character. I always have issues with that type of character. Bane’s damage output made fights go quickly and easily.

I was finally able to use a super move to end a fight.

Fight 6: Robin

The fight took place in Gorilla City.

Robin has to be up there with Black Canary on characters I frequently fight in the battle simulator. I have more of an issue fighting against him because he’s usually a bit tougher for some reason. It didn’t really matter because I still beat him. It’s just strange how hard it can be to fight against him compared to other characters.

Back to no super moves ending the fight. Bane leveled up to level 5.

Fight 7: Enchantress

The fight started in front of the Empire Theatre before moving to the Prop Room in Gotham.

Per the introduction, Bruce thought Enchantress was a hero at one point. When did that happen? Is it trying to play off of Suicide Squad where Enchantress was being used by Waller? I don’t think Bruce ever bought that the Squad were actually heroes. Especially because Enchantress was never even a part of the Squad. She went rogue the first second she could. I don’t get it.

She did manage to hit me with her super move. It was okay because I actually managed to hit her with my super move right back.

Fight 8: Brainiac

There was a moment where I thought I was going to lose this fight. Brainiac pummeled me hard for my first health bar. For some reason, none of Bane’s moves were doing the damage that they had done in the previous matches. Being heavier, it’s harder to dart over to Brainiac to stop him from summoning his weaponry. Once I knocked him down a health bar, the fight turned in my favor. That or my will to not lose really kicked in. Either way, I didn’t end up losing the fight. Thank god.

The Ending

I feel that this ending fits with how a lot of heroes and villains would feel, whether they are DC, Marvel, or some other publishing company. When you dedicate your life to fighting for something, what happens when that conflict is resolved? What happens if nothing else fills that void? Of course Bane would feel empty without having someone to fight because that’s all he’s ever known. Without that, who is he? His reward was meaningless because nothing drives him. He can’t even pretend to find a reason to continue to fight.

Overall Score: 966,118

That’s actually higher than what I was thinking he would get. I did not use many super moves and that’s always guaranteed points. When I originally conceived showing the top five at the end of these pieces, I thought it was going to change more than it actually has.

Top Five Ranking of Characters:
  1. Catwoman (1,063,054)
  2. Green Arrow (1,057,829)
  3. Black Canary (1,047,908)
  4. Doctor Fate (1,040,263)
  5. Cyborg (1,030,601)

Until the next battle. Hopefully, I can stop this madness soon.
