Hey peeps and welcome to a written playthrough of Injustice 2, specifically the Battle Simulator. I think I might be learning the ropes of the game. Granted it's very easy difficulty, but at least something good is coming out of these ramblings.

This is Deadshot’s advanced battle simulator played on very easy difficulty. Deadshot started at a level 3.

Before I start, I just need to mention Deadshot’s look. I always play the characters with modified gear so they look vastly different than the base look. The Deadshot helmet I was using...well, I can best describe it as looking like one of the robots from that Robots animated movie from the mid-2000s. It looked so comical when he’s trying to look tough. Especially because one of the eyes is still lit up red except the eyes are just too close together to make it look okay. Though, of any of the helmets I have unlocked, they all look absolutely stupid.

Fight 1: Aquaman

Once again, we’re in the Brother Eye level in the Bat Cave. Just a few more times. Just a few more.

Their opening interaction mentioned Mera and now I want Mera in the game. Even if it’s just a cameo. But Atlantis is inconsequential for both games so that’s never going to happen. I really would just like to see how her design would look. It would definitely be skimpier than it should be but hey, she may wear more clothes than Arthur and that would be a nice subversion.

As I’ve stated before, I’m not good with guns. Of course, that’s Deadshot’s gimmick. I couldn’t figure out any attacks that used one of his guns. I know those attacks exist. I’m pretty sure I even have the trophy for never missing a shot in a fight. I don’t know how I even managed that one but I somehow have. I know he has to have more gun attacks than his wrist gun.

There was no super move to end the fight.

Fight 2: Robin

This fight took place at the Power Core in Red Sun Prison.

Still didn’t get a handle of how to use his gun attacks. In fact, I think I took a step back in those attacks. Luckily, Robin wasn’t as brutal as he usually is when I fight him. He did still hit me with a super move which he somehow always manages when I fight him. I just can’t block him quickly enough.

I retaliated with my own super move to end the fight. Deadshot leveled up to level 4.

Fight 3: Black Canary

The fight started in Memorial Station before moving to the Ace o’ Clubs in Metropolis.

There was a challenge attached to use 7 medium attacks. I completed this challenge with no issue.

I love Dinah. I feel I’m just going to talk about her everytime she pops up instead of the actual person I’m fighting with. I mean, I’ve got nothing to say about the actual fight. I even managed to block her super move somehow. Honestly, I think the AI hit the super move at the wrong time because she is another character who always manages to hit me with their super move.

There was no super move to end this fight.

Fight 4: Green Arrow

The fight took place in the Fortress of Solitude.

I’m glad that Deadshot’s punches and kicks actually do decent damage because I could not figure out his gun attacks. His wrist gun is the only one I ever figured out and not even consistently. I mean, he’s got a huge-ass gun on his back but that maybe appeared once in a fight.

No super move to end the match.

Fight 5: Superman

This fight took place in Slaughter Swamp.

There was a challenge attached to use 7 jump attacks. I didn’t use one. Once again, the air is my nemesis when it comes to attacks.

I’m not horrible at using Deadshot. I managed to evade getting hit for the most part in the fights. I know that he’s got more potential than this. There’s no way that he was designed to use physical attacks more than his gun attacks. It’s me. As with all of the characters, I’m the one who cannot unlock the potential that these characters have. It’s frustrating because I want them to be better but I’m not at that stage yet.

I used a super move to end the fight.

Fight 6: Atom

The fight started in the Mother’s Trench Nursery before moving to the Command Center in Atlantis.

I’m proud of myself in this fight. I managed to figure out how to hit Atom when he goes small. I just have to be in block position. It probably took me way longer to figure out than it should have, but at least I did finally figure it out.

There was no super move to end the fight.

Fight 7: Darkseid

This fight took place at the Joker’s Playground.

So, what do Darkseid’s parademons do? When I played as him, I never figured it out. That’s not saying much because I can’t figure out most mechanics in the game. Usually the AI is better than me at that. Yet, I only ever see them summoned and then disappear after a few seconds. Do they actually have attacks? Are they just there to look intimidating? I don’t get it. When not even the AI can show me the attack, you know it’s not good.

I used a super move to end the fight.

Fight 8: Brainiac

Him again. I will say, I managed to stop him from summoning a tentacle on my head. In researching a long time ago, I saw it mentioned that to get Brainiac to not summon his tentacles and lasers, you have to hit him before he raises his arms. How well that actually works for me, that remains to be seen. That small piece of advice always plays in the back of my head when I fight him. I mean, just remember that I know that fact and I still have lost against him on three separate occasions. My knowledge can only go so far.

The Ending

It was a touching ending. If there is one piece of knowledge that I know about this character, it’s that he does everything for his daughter. It was nice that there wasn’t a big fuss in his ending. It was simple and effective. I didn’t really need the lingering shots of his exposed brain. It wasn’t that it was graphic or gross. I just felt like the story had moved past looking at his brain before the art changed.

Overall Score: 914,661

Not a great score, but I didn’t get a lot of level transitions or super moves. I don’t think I ever figured out how to really fight with Deadshot.

Top Five Ranking of Characters:

  1. Catwoman (1,063,054)
  2. Green Arrow (1,057,829)
  3. Black Canary (1,047,908)
  4. Doctor Fate (1,040,263)
  5. Cyborg (1,030,601)

Until the next battle, where I can proceed to not know how to fight with a different character.
