Hey peeps and welcome to a written playthrough of Injustice 2, specifically the Battle Simulator. I did not realize just how many characters there really are in this game. God, these are going to go on forever.

This is Black Adam’s advanced battle simulator played on very easy difficulty. Black Adam starts out at level 3.

Fight 1: Doctor Fate

Once again, it takes place in the Bat Cave on the Brother Eye level.

I don’t like lightning powers. Actually, I just don’t like fighting characters with lightning powers. Of course, I can’t harness that same power when I have to use those characters. I couldn’t get a handle on Black Adam’s lightning powers. I was fumbling around this fight, shooting off lightning bolts but not hitting Doctor Fate. Granted, we can replace the lightning power with any other special power and I still wouldn’t be able to use it.

I used my super move and ended the match. Black Adam leveled up to level 4.

Fight 2: Joker

This took place in Black Adam’s Palace in Kahndaq.

I’m very familiar with Black Adam’s character power. I’m used to it being used against me. My problem is that I’m too impatient to use the power properly. I waste it almost immediately after activating it because I end up walking into my opponent instead of letting them come to me. It serves as a good ward off for a little bit, at least.

I used a super move and ended the match.

Fight 3: Harley Quinn

The fight took place in Slaughter Swamp.

The fight had a challenge attached to use 2 jump attacks. I did not complete this challenge because I’m not a capable fighter in the air. I mean, I’m not a capable fighter on the ground either, but in the air is a particular sore spot.

The fight was fairly basic. I still wasn’t able to figure out most of Black Adam’s lightning attacks. I swear he has a lot of them, but I could really only figure out the lightning storm and the single bolt. Every so often, he would do a thunder ground punch but I couldn’t figure out what button combination was that move.

I used a super move to end the match.

Fight 4: Black Manta

This fight took place in the Power Core at Red Sun Prison.

I couldn’t really tell if I was doing okay fighting with Black Adam. I can’t really use his lightning powers, but I’m able to figure out his basic attacks. I did have issues with him lobbing a lightning ball because it always went over the head of my opponent. I have no idea what that move does. I’m guessing it would shock my opponent if it hit them, but I was never able to successfully do that. It wouldn’t be a battle simulator if I didn’t find moves that were useless to me.

I used a super move and ended the match.

Fight 5: Darkseid

This fight took place in Gorilla City.

As usual, there was a lot of smashing into the animal statues. The AI doesn’t really use environmental interactions a lot except when it’s kicking me into the animals. I don’t mind because it’s at least a fight. It also gives some life to a stage that doesn’t even have a level transition.

I used a super move and ended the match. Black Adam leveled up to level 5.

Fight 6: Black Canary

This fight took place at the Joker’s Playground.

The fight had a challenge attached to use 5 meter burn special moves. I have no idea what that means so I did not complete this task.

Is it bad that I just spent the entire fight admiring Dinah? I’ve really fallen hard to her character. I really liked that the actual game audio is distorted after she uses her cry. She’s always tough whenever she pops up as an opponent and I secretly kind of love it. Mostly because I love her.

I used a super move to end the match.

Fight 7: Scarecrow

This fight took place in the Cell Block of Arkham Asylum.

I don’t fight Scarecrow often but I don’t remember his hook being so damaging. Because that’s how it was here. He almost knocked me down to one health bar. Also kicked the crap out of me into the cage. Lightning was not on my side here. It wasn’t ever on my side, but it was really not helpful here.

I used a super move and ended the match.

Fight 8: Brainiac

There was definitely a moment where I thought I was going to lose. It wasn’t that he even hit me with the tentacles. He only did that once. He kept summoning his little drone that kept throwing things at me. For some reason, the gods in this game cannot take a hit. First Darkseid, now Black Adam. I mean, I’m guessing Black Adam’s a god because he keeps calling himself that. I have my doubts.

The Ending

My biggest complaint was that the art of Black Adam didn’t even look like him. While not 100% accurate in the rendering from 3D to 2D, everyone else at least retains a resemblance in the ending art. Black Adam looked way more emaciated and older than he appears in the game. Ra’s al Ghul’s appearance is okay. I’m not a huge fan of the League of Assassins and if they were to be brought into the story, it should’ve been through Damian. I don’t remember Damian’s ending, so they may pop up there as well.

Overall Score: 981,114

I didn’t get a single level transition in this simulator. Not even against Brainiac and I pretty consistently hit that one at least. The standings don’t change, once again.

Top Five Ranking of Characters:

  1. Catwoman (1,063,054)
  2. Green Arrow (1,057,829)
  3. Black Canary (1,047,908)
  4. Doctor Fate (1,040,263)
  5. Cyborg (1,030,601)

Until the next battle. One day, this will be finished.
